Dr. Ju graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering and a minor in biology. He received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Ju completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He went on to complete his fellowship training in spine surgery at the renowned Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Philadelphia, PA. He has served as an associate team physician for the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Philadelphia 76ers. Dr. Ju is board-certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Ju specializes in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders such as stenosis, disc herniations, spondylolisthesis, spinal deformity, radiculopathy, pinched nerves, spinal trauma, revision spine surgery (redo spine surgery), and spine tumors. He has expertise with minimally invasive surgery, robotic spine surgery, artificial disc replacement, and motion preservation (non-fusion surgery). Each treatment plan is customized to each patient’s needs. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Ju has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters. He maintains an active research interest in degenerative diseases of the spine. He has received research grants and awards from organizations including the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF), Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), and Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS). Dr. Ju is a member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the North American Spine Society and a reviewer for the Global Spine Journal. He sees patients at the OAM offices in Great Neck and Huntington. He is a member of the medical staff at St. Francis Hospital, NYU Langone Hospital Long Island (Winthrop), and Northwell North Shore University Hospital.
